Chapter 44. Blissfully Together

Nate stopped in front of their scenic Lake Houston property on the shores of Lake Houston, off the meandering San Jacinto River. Claire climbed out and walked towards the private pier, staring at the breathtaking views all around her. 

Nate followed her around holding her hand and at that point in time, he loved this place more than ever. Although he had come here plenty of times before, being with Claire here made him see it, feel it from a different perspective altogether. It felt like the most special place on earth. 

“Do you like it?” he asked eagerly. 

“Yes, it’s a lovely place. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. This place is so perfect,” said Claire, her eyes shining with excitement. 

“Even I’m loving it this time just because you’re there with me,” said Nate. The caretaker of the place arrived on his motorcycle and handed the keys over to Nate. After he left, Nate unlocked the door of the villa. The place was spotlessly cle
