Chapter 23. Earn Your Answer

They reached home, and Andrea rushed to her room to change out of the disgusting dress. Andrea swore she would never wear it again. She was stunned by Aries’s comforting words. She had expected him to flare up and judge her, call her names, but strangely, he did nothing of the sort. He didn’t even get angry with her. Changing into a pair of cotton shorts and a tee shirt, she walked out of her room. Aries was busy making dinner with a scowl on his face when she entered the kitchen. 

“Are you mad at me?” she asked, walking up to his side and peering into the pan to see what he was making.

“Yes, and no.” 

“What does it mean? Yes or no?” she asked, looking clueless. 

“Both. I’m angry that you listened to Vera when you know Cameron cannot be trusted. Then again, I have forgiven you, knowing that Vera is an impossible leech sometimes.” 

“You’re so understanding. I’m glad that you told Cameron and his friends off.” Aries raised an eyebro
