Chapter 30. Nate Recovers from an Accident

“Thanks for coming over at such short notice,” Aries said to Drake.

“How’s Nate? Can I see him now?” asked Drake, worriedly. 

“He’s under sedation right now. We can go to see him tomorrow when he gains consciousness,” said Aries. 

“Is it safe to leave him alone?” asked Drake, looking worried by now. Aries scratched his head. 

“He isn’t alone. Claire, the girl who saved him, is there, actually. She’s been there right from the start. She hasn’t gone home since. It seems she knows Nate,” said Aries.

“Did Nate attempt suicide? I just get this straight. How did he have an accident?” asked a confused Drake. Aries shrugged. 

“Only Nate and Claire know what happened. Nate is sleeping. Claire won’t open her mouth. She doesn’t want a police case,” said Aries. “So let’s wait till tomorrow. We can ask Nate himself what exactly happened to him,” and Aries, looking perplexed.
