Chapter 9. Safe or Danger

Ashley’s POV

That night my mother stayed until we finished dinner and until I get back to bed. I feel like a little girl being tuck to sleep by my Mom, same feeling from a long time ago when our family is still together. Now, it is just me and her.

The morning came like usual after getting ready for the day, I got out of my room and see two security men standing in front of my door. They look at me and wonder if they should go with me or stay.

“Good morning Miss Snipes!”

“Oh! Good morning! Please stay here, I am not getting out of this building today, I will just take a round on the staffs in the lobby.”

They look at each other and then nodded. “Alright mam, please come back soon and take care of yourself.” I smiled back at them and head out to the nearest elevator.
