Chapter 14. The Call of Danger

Jack’s POV

As I began to chew the juicy meet of roasted turkey in my mouth and the people around the table is doing the same, all except for one person. My son, Prince Vincent looks at his empty plate without any expression written in his eyes, his mind is somewhere else and I think I know what troubles him. The main reason why we are together this evening.

“Is the food not to your liking my son?”

The question made everyone around pause and look at me before turning their gaze towards him. His eyes held a few moment of confusion before he shrug his shoulders and made a reply.

“I am full father, I admire watching you all eat. Please don’t mind me and continue, I guess the hunt is what excites my appetite better.”
