Chapter 33. Embracing the New Life

Ashley’s POV

The pain continues, I feel like losing my breath as the bones in my entire body break. But I can feel him watching and that fact is making me gather all my strength to keep going. Then finally after I have endured for about an hour, it’s over. I became one of them.

“Oh, you look amazing Ash!”

I heard him whispered his voice is like a sound of melody in the air. I am all covered in fur, from my head until my toes. I can see a brownish almost red color of the fur on my legs and probably the rest of my body.

“Talk to me in the mind link Ash focus and answer my voice in your mind.”

He came forward and look at me in the eyes, his lips are not moving and yet I can hear his voice talking to me. I focus and try to say something that I felt.

“I… my throat feels very dry and my stomach hurt.”

It was the first thing I notice as the pain slowly subside and I stand up on four legs straight. I feel different, my senses are heightened.<
