Chapter 39. A Pleasant Surprise

Ashley’s POV

The night was over but he didn’t come, and that made me a little disappointed. I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door. When I opened my eyes, I could hear the voice of the woman named Riza calling my name to wake me and she succeeded. The thought of how disappointed I was last night is showing on my face.

“Yes! I’m coming!”

I shouted back at her and get myself out of the huge and comfy bed before she yells out my name even louder. I could not remember at what time I have fallen asleep but I remember how my heart aches when he did not come. My foolish heart waited expecting to see his face before I sleep.

I am counting my footsteps as I get to the door and turn the knob open.

“Good morning Miss Snipes, I apologize to have bothered you from your rest but today will be very busy for you so we have to start early.”
