Chapter 35. A Lesson

Vincent’s POV

It was a very agonizing night, to be with my mate, and yet I could not do more than just hold her hand and keep her close next to me. When she fall back into sleep and the pain she felt subsided I left her and called the pack doctor to take care of her and tend to her needs. I should have stayed and kept her from getting sick again however I must remember that I have a duty in the pack to fulfill.

“Good morning Your Majesty.”

The greetings coming from Beta Derek reminded me of the task at hand today.

“Did Xander already woke up?”

I look around and saw him on a bench in the corner, sitting erect with his eyes glued on the spar between the warriors of the pack. Beta Derek didn’t have to give me an answer.

“He came early, even before the warriors are here Your Majesty.”

I push aside the matter with Ashley in my mind and decided that I have to focus on making Xander learn something from me and the warriors.
