Chapter 10. Compensations

Ashley’s POV

It was sheer luck that my father is the Mayor of the town and is not a stranger to the Alpha King. I didn’t mean anything bad to happen that night, but it already did so now our family feel indebted to the leader of all wolves.

“Good morning Miss Ashley, breakfast is ready. Your father said you should get something to eat before you go to the palace.”

I let out a heavy sigh. This is the price I have to pay for what happened a few days ago. Well at least I have a slightly better punishment than my two friends who were to stay locked up in a cell somewhere in the palace. As for me, I only needed to served there as a servant for the period of three months.

“Did Mom and Dad already left?”

My face showed a disappointing look when I realized that I am left alone now, for sure my mom is already working at our restaurant while my Dad is at work. And I thought he would personally drive me to the palace today.

“I’m sorry Miss Ashley, how
