Of course, he knew that if he asked, no matter the amount, his brother would find a way. But he really couldn’t bring himself to ask.
"Like I always say, we're brothers, there’s no need to hesitate. Whatever happens, you still have this big brother. Don’t keep everything to yourself. Don't do that next time."
"Okay."
After lunch, Jonathan and Adela drove back.
In the car, Adela looked earnestly at Jonathan, assessing him. Handsome or not was one thing, but her interactions with him these past few days had stirred a sense of doubt in her.
Jonathan's way of doing things was domineering, but also straightforward.
So why did he do what he did to her in the past?
Could this be what is called "knowing the face, not the heart"?
"What are you looking at?" Jonathan asked calmly.
"There’s nothing worth looking at. I was thinking, when will you help me find my daughter!" Adela
