Chapter 6
It was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up, and the sweet smell was all around me. It warmed me to my very core—his smell, his smell.
And just like that, I fell back into reality as if a brick had hit my head. My eyes shot open. This wasn’t my room. It was larger than mine.
Gray walls, dark brown wooden cabinets, and a huge king-size bed with blue linens. This was definitely not my room. Instinctively, I checked under the covers and sighed in relief.
I remembered Killian carrying me into the packhouse. I was in the packhouse but not in my room—perhaps in his. My mind twirled in a frenzy. What do I do? What do I do? Why would he bring me here? Then again, he didn’t know where my room was, so this was the only place he could take me.
Dammit, Genesis, why did you have to fall asleep in his arms?
