The snow fell softly on the pack grounds. A slight breeze fluttered above us, carrying the smell of the incoming spring.
Killian sat next to me on the little bench. It was the first time in years that I’d been out of the pack house. We had walked in the snow silently, enjoying each other’s company.
The Red Hallow Pack was like any other pack. It was smack in the middle of nowhere, with a few houses and local shops littering the little town of eight hundred residents, all of them wolf shifters.
No humans had been allowed in the pack. I had heard of incidents involving hunters who came or passed by, but nothing major—nothing that caused problems.
