The weeks passed by so fast. It had already been twelve days. Killian and I had locked ourselves in his room, just taking our sweet time to do everything. The Luna had been quite gracious, bringing food to the room whenever we needed it. She even started calling me by my name, which I must admit was a pleasant surprise that I simply could not get over. She had spent twelve days trying to get me alone, trying to talk to me and set up “a bond,” as she said.
“You know, Genesis, I will miss you once you leave. I always knew you were destined for greatness. Perhaps I’ll come visit you. We can do some activities while you’re still here—how about going to the town over for a little shopping spree?” She had gone on and on after finding me alone in the kitchen, making Killian a sandwich in the middle of the night.
