Chapter 77
“Don’t touch her.” A voice broke through the darkness. Something was happening. My eyes felt heavy, and I struggled to open them, but I couldn’t. The darkness surrounded me, but I could hear voices—familiar voices—that piqued my interest. I felt a hand on my body; somebody was holding me.
“We need to get her to a doctor.” Another voice called out, but this time I knew who it was. It was Killian, talking to somebody else.
“And you think a doctor will help her? She needs to rest.” I knew this voice, too. It was Will, and it sounded closer—extremely close, like it was just above my head.
“Listen, I’m her mate, and I know what—”
“You’re not anything to her!” Will snapped, his hand holding me tighter. “She’ll be okay.”
“And how would you know that?”
