Chapter 13. The Unexpected
Gael tilted his head to one side and stared at her as if he were facing a rare species of animal.
"You don't need it?"
"Gael! I'm going to give everyone stupid orders right now and I'll be free today!" Cybele said happily, already imagining herself on the ship taking her back and then stared at Gael, who was smiling reassuringly, suspiciously. Something wasn't right. "Are you still going to keep your end of the bargain?"
"I won't go back on my word, Cybele." He said and sat down in front of the charts again. "I need to work. Go play at giving stupid orders and then come back here and I'll keep my end of the bargain." He said, already concentrating on the graph.
Cybele couldn't imagine a greater joy and when she left, perhaps if she had turned around and seen the silver gaze and the debauched smile on Gael's lips, she would have realized that he was planning something and
