Chapter 16. On the Edge

Cybele finished entering and after she had closed the door, she bent down to pick up her shopping that had fallen on the floor, enjoying it so she wouldn't have to face Gael.

"How did you get in here?"

"I jumped through the window."

Cybele looked at the closed window. Just the way she had left it and turned to him.

"And what are you doing here?"

"You acted as if you didn't know me in front of my partners, so I got worried and decided to come and see if everything was all right..."

"Then you can go now." Cybele said, getting up with her shopping and about to put it on the table, when something occurred to her. "Did you say your partners?"

"Yes. I'm your boss, Cybele." He said nonchalantly.
