Chapter 19. Betrayed
At dusk, the tribe lit a fire, after removing the table (which was just a fitting and turned into a small table when they quickly retracted it) and they roasted meats and served beer, while they clarified Cybele's doubts.
Aurora sat next to her, without her children, who she explained had stayed with her husband, and the two shared moments between mother and daughter that were unknown to Cybele, but which she loved every second of. They laughed together and cried too, with the stories that had led them there. Cybele didn't want to think that it was all just falsehood on her mother's part. She wanted to relax that day.
Aurora told her daughter about the difficulties she had faced being chosen from among many to be the wife of a descendant of royalty, since one of her own family had not been born to him.
