Chapter 15. After
The case was on the transparent table. Gael stared at it, sitting in his comfortable armchair with Cybele's watch in one hand and a glass of whisky on the rocks in the other.
Cybele gave commands for the ship to return to its point of origin, and Gael's collaborators found the case intact and the watch on the floor of the ship after a routine inspection. This had already happened twelve days ago.
He knew that the case had not been opened, as it still had the imperceptible seal of his company. All he could think was that Cybele was the most stubborn and annoying person he had ever met, and yet he couldn't stop thinking about her.
His men had been watching her ever since she set foot in the same country where she was found by him, again.
