Chapter 83. Surprises

"Did you have a fight?"

"Yes, but... I'm under the Alpha's authority, so I can't say much."

"What about that child? Do you know that Sean has the right to keep it, even if you don't get married?"

"I didn't even know I was pregnant. I haven't thought of anything yet... Mom, do you think it's possible for me to flee this island? I won't be happy here with someone else raising my child and I want to get away from our customs. This werewolf culture was never for me. I don't want to live by those rules."

"You should have thought of that before you got pregnant with some werewolf. I'm ashamed to be your mother."

"Mom! Not just any werewolf! He's the Alpha! You know that no werewolf can resist an Alpha!" Yumi said in a tearful voice.

Catlyn thought for a moment. Yumi was right.

"I don't know what Gael tricked you into doing,
