Mercedes went over to the window of the classroom to get a closer look. Everyone in the class didn't take notice of her standing there. She watched as the girls paid attention to their teacher in front of them. The woman didn't look much older than the girls. She was fair-skinned, had unique violet eyes, and long black hair that cascaded behind her like a waterfall. She was simply beautiful. Mercedes couldn't help but be in awe of her. She felt insecure just to be in her presence.

The woman uttered incoherent words to Mercedes to perform a spell. Suddenly, a flame formed out of her palm. The girls were awed and equally astonished as Mercedes was. She had not seen anything like that. While glued to the window of the classroom, someone tapped her shoulder from behind. Mercedes looked behind her to see Alexa standing before her.
