Chapter 27

I wake up with Mireya snuggled against me on the couch in her house. It’s daylight, and I smile as I remember how we fell asleep, or rather, after what. I don’t know if what I should do is leave, just leave, or stay until she wakes up.

I think leaving, right now, would be rude and I don’t want her to think that, for me, it was a hobby. I get up and find my underwear, put them on, and put on my pants.

I go to the downstairs bathroom to clean myself up a bit and wash my face, and stuff. I thought about taking a shower, but I wasn’t sure if it was appropriate.

I’m hungry; we didn’t have dinner last night. I just got home and... That smile again. I’ll make breakfast. Mireya’s fridge is overflowing with food, so it’s easy to prepare something delicious. I’m not a great chef, but I think I’ll be up to it.
