Chapter 101. A Vision
Elara POV
The triplets are hovering so much that the doctor is struggling to tend to my wound. It burns like hell, but I keep my teeth gritted together and pretend like it isn’t bothering me. Zeus is the only one who seems to be aware of my pain, but that is probably because he won’t stay out of my mind. I made a mental note to fuss at him about it later.
Zane is glaring at Zeke, who is pretending not to notice. The tension in the air is making it hard for me to drag in a breath.
“Alphas,” the doctor finally growls. “I can’t tend to the Luna with you all hovering and breathing down my neck.”
They step away from me, but not too far. The doctor mumbles under his breath about arrogant Alphas. I offer him a sympathetic smile. No one knows how difficult they are to deal with more than I do. They might be big, strong Alphas, but sometimes they are no better than children.
“You were lucky,” the doctor tells me. “This could have been much worse.”
