Zeus and Zane rush into the bedroom door. I try to clear my mind of doubts. I don’t want to give Zeus any ammo to start a fight. But he doesn’t seem focused on me right now. “Where is Zeke?”

The doubts that I tried to keep at bay are flooding my mind. Zeus’s eyes flicker to mine, and I know he can hear everything I am thinking. I speak before he has a chance to bring anything up. “I don’t know where he is.”
