Chapter 90. Elemental Powers

Zane POV

It is my turn to run patrols, and I couldn’t be happier to get out of the pack house. Zeus’s newfound ability to read minds and the tension between Elara and Zeke are becoming too much to handle. I am finding reasons to disappear from the pack house, just to avoid the drama. It isn’t fair to Elara, but I am desperate for a break.

Cinder looks me up and down when I reach the gate, and a scowl pulls on her lips. “Why are you here?”

She and I have never gotten along, but we have learned to work together peacefully. Or at least that is what I thought.
