Chapter 7

Amelia’s POV

I could hear the whispers and giggles of the people as they celebrated my parent’s death. My heart was filled with anger and disgust at the praise being given to Mason for killing my parents. I knew deep down that they were good people and didn’t deserve to be murdered. I couldn’t believe that anyone could be so heartless and cruel to celebrate their deaths.

I sat there, feeling helpless and alone, wondering what my fate would be now that Mason was in charge. I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of sadness and grief for everything that had happened. My life had been turned upside down, and I didn’t know how to cope with it.

As I sat there, lost in thought, I heard footsteps approaching. I looked up to see Mason standing in the doorway with a tray of food in his hands and a look of concern on his face.

He was the last person that I wanted to see, but I didn’t have a say right now.

“Are you alright?” he asked, his voice soft.
