Zachary's POV

This was causing her great distress. It was easy to see the impact of everything. It was quite evidence. Zachary hoped there was a way for him to help her escape this situation. He believed that everything would turn out okay, but there was no way to know for sure if it would. 

What lay ahead was more daunting than anything they had encountered until now, and they felt more vulnerable than ever. He longed to provide her with reassurance. Throughout the drive home, Scarlett remained quiet, her mind swirling with numerous thoughts. He was aware since he was also lost in thoughts.
