Scarlett didn't expect Zach at her door at the moment. He had not come back since she woke up a few days ago. She was taken by surprise, even with the close moment and kiss they shared at Flourish Moon. It lacked any labeling, leaving her unable to derive significance from anything. Initially, she was apprehensive that Shawn had revealed the truth to him. Shawn would not remove that option from her, unless it was absolutely necessary. He didn't seem to be that kind of man. 

She went out and found him standing at the door. "And what made you knock today?" she asked, recalling the last time he visited her. He had gone in before she even knew it. 

"I found out that your boys are inside, and you warned me to keep my distance from them." He pointed out to her that, even if she had forgotten it, he certainly had not. Her gaze fell; he was a superior man compared to her, and her sons were fortunate to have him as their father. 

"What brings you here?" She inquired
