Daemon’s POV

As I sifted through the dozens of files on my desk, I sighed as I heard the click of my office door signaling that someone had just entered.

“Hey, Sam, any news?” Taking in his scent, I asked with my head still focused on the files in front of me.

“You’ve been on that page for hours before I left, and now you’re still reading the same page,” Sam said as he plopped himself on the couch, sounding irritated.

“What’s bothering you?” He demanded.

I slammed the files shut and let out a tired sigh with my eyes shut. I didn’t even realize that I had been on the same page for hours. What’s wrong with me?
