Hector could feel the mate bond pulling him to this strange woman. He wanted to kiss her so badly that he forgot where they were.

Alexa must have read the expression in his eyes correctly because she pushed herself upright, away from his arms.

“Thanks, King Hector,” she said, brushing down her cloth. “It’s my fault. I was rushing out and didn’t see you coming in!”
