"The King and Queen!" Herod shouted in stupefaction, as if from a single mouth.

Now it's our turn to stare at our women in bewilderment. What is the Moon Goddess planning with this twist of faith?

We believed that reducing our authority would render our mates accessible to us, while they used a potion to delay the activation of the mate bond until they had reached their destination. Unaware that the path to their goal was right in front of them, we were seemingly sent by Selene to meet them in Crescent Moon just as they were nearing the right age.
