Chapter 81. You Are Not My Mother
Kon glared at his mother as he willed her to say what she came for and leave. But his mother didn't look ready to do that.
It took an intercession from Toto to get them into the house.
“Why are you here?” Kon frowned at her. “Why did you seek me out now?”
“Can't I decide to visit my son?” She snapped at him.
“Yes, you can.” Kon crossed his left leg over his right. “Why are you here? It has been more than five years.”
“Son—”
“Grandma, do you want some juice? We have apples, pineapple, and guava juice. Which do you prefer?” Toto grinned.
Kon scowled at her, but she pretended not to see the glare he was sending her way.
“Any will do.” Kon's mother said without paying attention to her.
“On it!” With a grin, Toto raced to the kitchen.
