Ares leaned back in his chair, watching her reaction with a detached curiosity. "Dominic Russo sent me this gift, courtesy of your article."
Martina's eyes flickered from the ring to Ares, horror and confusion mingling in her gaze. "What...what does this mean?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"It means," Ares replied, his tone hardening, "that Dominic is sending a message. He’s not pleased with the unwanted attention your article has brought."
