Antonio stared down at Camila’s motionless body, his mind racing. The reality of what he had just done crashed over him, but he couldn't afford to lose himself in regret or fear. He knew he had to act quickly, every second counted now. His thoughts churned as he tried to figure out his next move. He couldn’t let this situation spiral out of control.
His eyes flicked to his phone on the desk, and he knew what he had to do. He grabbed it, his hands shaking slightly as he dialed Martina’s number. He needed to control the narrative, to ensure that she didn’t come back to the mansion until he had time to clean up the mess he’d made.
The phone rang once, twice, and then Martina’s voice came through, tinged with surprise and concern. “Antonio?”
Antonio took a deep breath, forcing himself to sound as calm and composed as possible. “Martina, there’s been… an incident,” he began, his voice steady but with a hint of urgency. “Camila is dead.”
