Book 1: Chapter 74
Gabriella barely had time to react before Enzo pulled her through the crowd. His grip was firm, almost bruising, and his pace was relentless. The music seemed to fade into the background as they moved, the sea of people parting in their wake.
"You are hurting me!" Gabriella protested, trying to keep up without tripping over her own feet.
He didn't respond, his jaw set in a hard line. They reached outside the club, in front of a black car. Enzo finally stopped, releasing her arm and taking a step back. His eyes bore into hers, intense and searching.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" he demanded, his voice low but edged with anger.
Gabriella rubbed her arm where his grip had been. She opened her mouth to speak but Enzo wasn't having any of it. He opened the door to the passenger's seat, "Get in," he ordered.
Aleida who had caught sight of Enzo rushed out of the club despite Miguel signalling her to let them be.
