Chapter 148. One Last Check-in
Looking at the locket dangling on her mirror, she moves from her luggage, opening the locket, a tiny picture of she and her family when she was little, she smiles weakly at the picture, it was beautiful, the other side of the locket had no picture in it.
Heading to her wardrobe, she draws it open seeing a little picture of her boys, she carefully cuts the part she needs, fixing it slowly into the locket, kissing it, she puts it on carefully afraid it will break.
The noise from downstairs tells her that her children are back, she braces herself for the reaction, she has never left them for more than a week but she’s leaving them for a long period of time.
Taking a deep breath, she goes downstairs to see them, “mom,” the both run to hug their mom tightly, “guess the both of you had the best time.”
They both nod their heads with a big smile on their faces, “we had so much, we almost didn’t feel like coming home.” Zayn narrates with pouty lips.
