Lady Grace maintains pace until they get to the gate. Then she halts , standing  right before the solid entrance with her hands folded behind her. If the message she got from her madam’s assistant is right, then the young Miss should be dropped off by her fiancé, whosoever he is.

She had just turned 18 when she was sent to work here by her people in order to make ends meet. She watched Claire grow, physically, mentally, and financially.
