MADELYN’S POV

“Let go of me!” I struggled to get off his personal assistant’s hold.

How dare he hold me and let his boss run away! What a jerk they both are for this cheap play they just pulled.

“You are both jerks! Let go of me!” I shouted, and finally, he let me go.

I turned to look at him, and I slapped him right across the face.

“How dare you! I will make you pay for what you have just done. You will regret trying this with me. Not only will I make sure you and your boss pay for this, but I will make sure you both regret using such a cheap trick on me!” I chided.

“We can go to the police station if you want. For the damages, I will take full responsibility if my boss is wrong, but if you are the one at fault, then you will pay for wasting my boss’s time,” he spoke, and I scoffed in disbelief.
