Before Liam could respond, one of Jacob's comrades—a towering, dark-skinned man who looked like a black iron tower—spotted the bald man. He froze for a moment, then his face darkened as he barked, "Jason, what are you doing here?"
"Uh, Big Brian, I..."
The bald man, who had been trying to hide behind his companions, now had no choice but to step forward, his face plastered with a sycophantic smile.
Facing Jacob's comrade, who stood like a black iron tower, the bald man had lost all his initial arrogance. Instead, he now looked like a mouse that had just seen a cat—nodding and bowing with a smile while quickly offering a cigarette to the man.
However, the other man didn’t accept the cigarette and instead let out a cold snort, "Jason, are you deaf? I asked you what you’re doing here!"
"Damn, who do you think you are, talking to our Big Jason like that? You must be tired of living..."
