Jacob shook his head, "The only requirement is room and board, so we don’t have to worry about finding a place to live. As for the salary, Mr. Thorne, whatever you decide is fine. I trust you."

Liam nodded, "No problem. Room and board are easy; we already have staff dormitories at the hotel. As for the salary, it will be the standard rate we pay our current security guards. If you perform well, there will be bonuses."

Jacob’s eyes widened in surprise, "So, does that mean... we’re hired?"

Liam looked puzzled, "What else would it mean?"

Jacob scratched his head, "I thought there would be some kind of interview process, like you see on TV..."

Liam chuckled, "I’m the general manager. Hiring a few people doesn’t need to be that complicated. I’ll have the head of security take you through the onboarding process, and he’ll explain the hotel’s policies and other details."
