The book was written by Nicholas Van Hoen of Horn. He told in the introduction how he had himself visited Egypt where he had been attracted by the work of John Graves of Merton Pyramid College, where he had become so interested in its wonders that he had devoted a few years of his life to visiting exotic places and to exploring ruins and to many temples and tombs and he came across many variants of the story of building the pyramids as narrated by the Arab historian Ibn Abd al-Hakim, and some of them were laid out, and I did not stop reading them, but rather moved to the specified pages.
But as soon as I began to read these I had some sense of disturbing affect and I looked once or twice to see if the nurse had moved because there was a feeling as if someone was near me but she was sitting still and more attentive than ever so I went back to my book once again.
