His oath warmed me, but I shook my head, sorrow pulling at my heart. If Daniel feared facing his father alone, Noah’s chances were even slimmer. Alpha Wilder wouldn’t hesitate to crush anyone who challenged him—and then turn on me with even greater wrath. The only way to end this would be for the Alpha to die. Nothing else would save me.
