Selena kind of understood that the alpha was only trying to defend her, or watch out for her. But she did not like the way he was doing it. She did not like his tone, and did not like how loud he was getting.
“You don’t need to be like this, though,” She pointed out. She just had to do it. She did not want to be talked to in this way.
“Selena, seriously?” He narrowed his eyes on her. “I’m not being loud,” He said, but he knew deep down that the omega was right. He was loud, not incredibly loud. But he knew that he did not have to be talking the way he was. “Look, I’m sorry, babe. But I’m just…I’m just trying to watch out for you. I’m trying to help you.”
“And I did not ask for your help.” She chuckled without humor, shrugging. “But what I am asking for is that you leave Vance alone. I will handle him my own way.”
