Chapter 215. A Dark Time

Back at home, Selena was alone in her room. The beta had tried to get her to get out so they could try to figure out what they were going to do next, but she was not having it.

She just wanted to be alone. She just wanted to shut the world and everything out for a few hours. She just wanted to be able to wrap her head around everything that was happening.

She has had heavy hearts before. In fact, there were more times than she could when her heart would be so heavy. But this time…it was much different.

This time, she felt like the weight of everything in the entire universe was sitting right on her chest, stealing away her breath every few seconds. And she knew it would be just a matter of time until she would die.

“He’s really dead,” she said to herself, sitting on the cold floor in the dark room. Her phone was not far from her, and it had been ringing for a while now. But she just could not bring herself to pick it up.

She felt detached from reality.
