Chapter 216. How…?

Selena felt like her feet had been cemented to the floor of the lobby as she stood there. Everyone was staring in the direction of the woman crying, including her.

At first, she could not see her mother. And even though she knew very well that it was the woman that was wailing, she wanted to believe otherwise. So she just waited, silently praying that another woman would walk from down the hallway.

So yeah, she stood there…just waiting with bated breath as her heart raced in her chest.

Then she finally saw what she was waiting for, she saw the woman being escorted in a comforting way by a nurse. And yes, it was definitely her mother.

In that moment, she felt something warm slide down her face, and it was almost as if it was what was needed to free her feet from the floor.

She rushed towards them and as soon as her mother saw her, the woman let go of the nurses and hugged her tightly, continuing to cry at the top of her lungs.
