Chapter 55. Search and Rescue

“You can’t do that,” Beta Leon chuckled the words out. “You can’t just quit being the Alpha of this pack. It doesn’t work that way, Maddox.”

The Alpha scoffed under his breath. “There’s a first for everything, right?” With that, he turned and started walking away, tears falling freely from his eyes.

Maddox’s birthday was in a few hours, but at this point, he really didn’t care. He just wanted to leave this stupid mansion. He wanted to go as far away as possible and just drink until he blacked out. That was the goal, and he was going to make sure to reach it before the night came to an end.
