Chapter 57. The Kiss

Selena closed her eyes instinctively, and it felt like… it felt like time had stopped. It felt like they had been shoved right off Earth and were now in their own little world—a place where everything was perfect, even if that would only be for a few seconds.

His lips were soft and cold at first, until the kiss deepened. She wanted to stop, but she kissed him right back. His mouth tasted like liquor, but that made her heart race even more. She was hot for him, and she knew that if she didn’t pull away, she would definitely take it too far, even though she badly wanted to do that. This was the feeling she had been searching for her whole life. It was happening to her right now, and if she could have bottled up this moment and kept it just so she could always experience it whenever she wanted, she would have.
