The sun was hot, and Selena didn’t know if it was the heat or the fact that she was so nervous that she felt sick, but she was sweating. She removed her hoodie, but it still didn’t help. She stood in front of the group, and it was time for her and Cassie to fight.

But from the look on the blonde girl’s face, the Omega knew that this day was not off to a good start. She just knew that this whole sparring thing was a terrible idea.

“Remember, neither of you is allowed to shift. Stay in your human forms and fight,” Axiel explained, worry evident in his tone. “This is about learning. And Cassie, please remember that you’re not doing this with a member of your group, but someone lower than you in rank and fighting skills.”
