Chapter 97. Telling the Truth
The words of the girl hit Beta Leon in the face like a train going so many miles per hour. His heart clenched, and he swallowed hard. He knew that the blonde girl had done something bad for the omega, but he did not think that the girl would resort to attempted murder.
This was serious, and as much as he was affected by hearing this and watching the omega bawl her eyes out, he tried his best to seem the opposite. Flashing her a comforting, sad smile, he pulled her in for a hug, and she sobbed in his arms. “Don’t worry, it’s going to be alright. Yeah?”
The omega then pulled away, shaking her head gently before wiping the tears from her face with the back of her hand. “No, it’s not. It’s not going to be okay. I drank wolfbane, Leon. What if I hadn’t been brought to the hospital on time? I could have died. Like literally die.”
“No, yeah, I get it. I do,” He replied to her. “This is very serious, and I am so sorry. I truly am.”
