This despicable man had not only forced her to take a pregnancy test but also had the audacity to bring the results here today.

She hesitated, taken aback by the unexpected turn of events. Caroline was at a loss for words, struggling to find an explanation for what was unfolding. Suddenly, he took her hand, a gesture that might appear sweet to an outsider but was mere theatrics in reality.

His fictitious declaration left her feeling helpless. Caroline gazed at him, thinking how effortlessly he could weave such tales with his silver tongue. She had never held any affection for him.
