As the situation turned sour, Anselm quickly interjected: "Dulcie, Eugene, please, let's not argue further. I'll take care of these drinks."
With that, Anselm lifted one of the glasses, tightly closing his eyes as he forced the liquor down. He coughed, consuming a significant amount but not emptying the glass. He couldn't continue, dropping the glass back onto the table with a pained expression, his cheeks flaring red.
Anselm's tolerance for alcohol was somewhat limited. Suddenly consuming such a large quantity, it was inevitable that he'd feel nauseous and dizzy.
